Salma Agha is the only Pakistani singer to win Best Female Playback in the history of the awards.

Filmfare award for female playback has been shared only twice.
Alka Yagnik and Ila Arun (Khalnayak) in 1993
Shreya Ghoshal and Kavita Krishnamurty (Devdas) in 2002

The only female singers who have 100% nomination to winning ratio are Shreya Ghoshal and Jaspinder Narula. The former has been nominated and awarded twice and latter once.

Lata Mangeshkar - 4
Kavita Krishnamurty - 4

The top five Male Playback singers on the basis of the number of times they have won are:

Kumar Sanu has won Filmfare award for best male playback singer for 5 years consecutively.

The hattrick stars of Best Playback Male are Kishore Kumar (1982-1985) and Kumar Sanu (1990-1994).

The artistes to have achieved a rare feat of having all the nominations to their credit in a particular year are as follows:
Mohammed Rafi - Best Male Playback (1968)
Asha Bhosle - Best Female Playback (1972)
Kishore Kumar - Best Male Playback (1984)

Javed Akhtar - Best Lyricist (2004)


Shreya Ghoshal is the youngest singer to have won Best Female Playback award at the age of 18.

Prodigy Sunidhi Chauhan has not won a Filmfare award as yet inspite of being nominated twice. So has singer KK who has never won but has been nominated twice.
