Censor Board
The CBFC (Central Board of Film Certification), popularly known as Censor Board is a quasi-judicial body coming under the control of the Govt. of India. Once a film is certified, the exhibition of the film in the cinema halls comes under the purview of the respective State Government. Therefore, enforcement of Cinematograph Act is the sole responsibility of the State law and order machinery, namely, the Police Commissioners, the Collectors and the SPs of the Districts. The CBFC does not have any special police force of its own to enforce the provisions of Cinematograph Act.
Please check the publicity posters of the films and find out whether the category of certificate ( ‘U’, ’UA’, ‘A’ of ‘S’) issued by the Central Board of Film Certification has been indicated on it.
Please check whether children below 18 years of age are inside the theatre to witness a film which has been granted an 'A’ Certificate.

This section says that ' a film shall not be certified for public exhibition, if, in the opinion of the authority competent to grant the certificate, the film or any part of it is against the interests of the sovereignty and integrity of India, the security of the States, friendly relations with foreign States, public order, decency or morality or involves defamation or contempt of court or is likely to incite the commission of any offence

Madan Mohan never won a Filmfare award inspite of being nominated thrice, so is the case with Viju Shah who has been nominated for four times.
The only lyricist to have a hattrick in winning the Filmfare award is Shakeel Badayuni (1961,1962,1963).

In the same year Gulzar gave an award to his ex-wife Rakhee in the Best Supporting Actress category for Ram Lakhan. The guest of honour at the first ever awards (March 21, 1954 at the Metro theatre, Mumbai) was to be Gregory Peck. He couldn't make it--his flight from Colombo, where he was on location for Purple Plain, was delayed. But he did attend the banquet that followed at the Willingdon Sports Club.
At first, the awards were called Clares after Clare Mendonca, the Times of India film critic who died the year of the first awards, 1954. However, the name didn't stick.
At the first awards function, only 5 awards were presented with Do Bigha Zameen winning the award for the best film while Bimal Roy carried off the statuette for Best Director for the same film. Chitrangada Singh who starred in offbeat movies like Hazaron Khwaishein Aisi and Kal - Yesterday and Tomorrow married golfer Jyoti Randhawa and disappeared from the Bollywood circuit. In fact she got married before the release of Kal... and refused to promote the film in any way causing much trouble to the producers and director. No clue of her anywhere. Thumbs Down!
Director Vinta Nanda married childhood friend Anil Bahugana - a naval officer and surprised everyone. She made her debut as a film director with White Noise and word is that she is planning her next film as well. Here's someone who knows to divide time personally and professionally.
And finally from the actresses it's our very own Namrata Shirodkar who got married to south superstar Mahesh Babu. Mahesh's parents were apprehensive of their marriage but they agreed. They now live down South and we hope to see Namrata return to films once again.
Zayed Khan got married with pomp and style with his long time girlfriend Malaika Parekh. The couple had being seeing each other for some time and it was just a matter of time that they got married.
Cousin Fardeen Khan was not far behind and married Natassha Madhwani, daughter of yesteryear actress Mumtaz.
National Award winning actor Manoj Bajpai and actress Neha (of Kareeb) secretly tied the knot on February 23. The couple has been together for the past 7 years and had been very private about it. Hence the marriage being a complete hush hush affair didn't come as a surprise.
Just a day after Valentine's, T-Series head honcho Bhushan Kumar tied the nuptial knot with the gorgeous model-turned-actress Divya Khosla who acted in T-Series' Ab Tumhare Hawale Watan Sathiyo and the video 'Honey Honey' along with Salman Khan.
There is Emraan Hashmi who's all set to marry steady girlfriend Parveen Sahani by mid next year. Sahani is a teacher for pre-school children.
And last but not the least there is Aamir Khan who is to start a new chapter in his life on the first day of the New Year by tying the knot with longtime girlfriend Kiran Rao. Rao was assistant director for Lagaan and there is where they apparently met.
